Indications/Uses
Neurological system disorders resulting from confirmed vit B1 & B6 deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic hypersensitivity reactions w/ skin reactions, urticaria (nettle rash), exanthem or shock. Neuropathies when taken for >6 mth. GI disorders eg, nausea.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use w/ pyridoxine antagonists (eg, hydralazine, INH, D-penicillamine, cycloserine), alcohol or oestrogen-containing OCs over a long time may lead to vit B6 deficiency. Thiamine is deactivated by 5-fluorouracil. Vit B6 may weaken the effect of L-dopa.
